- Stop Market: you set one price, the trigger price. As soon as the market reaches that price, your order becomes active and is filled right away at the market price at that moment. The final price can differ from your trigger price, especially when the market moves fast.
- Stop Limit: you set two prices, a trigger price and a limit price. When the market reaches the trigger price, your order becomes active and is filled only at your limit price or better. If the market moves past your limit price too fast, your order may not be filled, or only partly.
With Basic you trade at guaranteed prices. Stop-loss orders are only available with Advanced.
